  Cromwell Administration

From 1653 to 1658, he ruled England, Scotland and Ireland. In these five years, Cromwell presented the United Kingdom with a model of good government and a cohesive administration, he improved a number of strict laws and took steps to promote education. He advocated religious tolerance and allowed Jews to settle in England and perform their religious rites. Cromwell developed a successful foreign strategy, He died from malaria in London in 1658.

Cromwell's eldest son, Richard Cromwell, succeeded him, However, he did not rule for long, Charles II ascended the throne in 1660.

Controversial Cromwell

In the three centuries since his death, Oliver Cromwell's personality has been controversial, Some called him a hypocrite And on the one hand, he always talked about the supremacy of Parliament, And opposed the autonomous administration ,But he also established the same military dictatorship However, the majority believed that the Cromwell was sincere to the democratic tradition However, the situation got out of control and he had to use dictatorial powers. Cromwell  has never cheated in politics, Nor did he accept the throne, And nor did he seek permanent dictatorship. His reign was generally moderate and tolerant.

Its primary significance lies in its being a brilliant military leader Which defeated the royal forces in the British war Cromwell's conquests resulted in the establishment of a democratic government in England and a strong foundation.

The victory of democracy in England was an event that changed the course of everything. Oliver Cromwell should be given a prominent place in this list Of course, the philosopher John deserves equal respect for the formation of democratic institutions in Britain and the United States. It is difficult to determine the significance of Cromwell. He was a pragmatist  and John  was a thinker.
